Make sure you get a kit with steel plates. The cheaper ones don't have them and you "will" need them. Also included is a Transtec soft parts kit with every rubber seal and gasket that you'll need to complete your rebuild. The kit comes with a new filter, pump bushing and extension housing bushing. This kit also comes with the band. Remember to soak all of your clutches in tranny fluid for thirty minutes before you install them. Fri, 26 Oct 2012With the 2013 Ford Mondeo now becoming the 2014 Mondeo with the closure of Ford’s Genk factory, will Europe now get a re-badged US Ford Fusion? The Genk Plant makes the Ford Mondeo and the Galaxy and S-Max (which are built on the Mondeo platform) and, at its peak, was building over 300,000 Mondeos and over 100,000 MPVs. But by last year the Mondeo production had dropped below 100,000 mark and MPV production had dropped to 80,000.

Thu, 15 Sep 2011Vauxhall Astra GTC finally arrives at Frankfurt The Vauxhall Astra GTC (and its European equivalent Opel GTC) finally gets to go on public view at Frankfurt this week, a year after it arrived as a concept at Paris. Based on the more prosaic five-door Astra, the GTC carries over just about nothing except the door handles although it still conspires to look like a slightly squashed, butch version of its sibling. The Astra GTC is a decent looking effort from Vauxhall – as is the regular Astra – designed to take the fight to cars like the Scirroco.

Mon, 08 Mar 2010This is the Hispano Suiza V10 Supercharged, a coachbuilt version of the R8 V10 with a twin-supercharged engine. That’s because the Hispano Suiza has a completely new carbonfibre body, but you can’t ignore the power outputs either. Two electrically powered superchargers boost the 5.2-litre V10’s outputs from 518bhp and 391lb ft to 739bhp and 516lb ft.
