Here is a used Ford ECG 5 carburetor which originally came off my 1955 Ford. It requires a rebuild but is in good complete condition with the exception of the small mechanical tab which moves the choke plate when the choke is pulled. The tab broke off, so it would need to be replaced. I disassembled the carburetor with the intent to rebuild it, but decided not to complete the job without the choke tab. I checked all the parts, cleaned everything up, and reassembled it using all the old gaskets and parts. I used carburetor cleaner, thus the reason for surface rust on some parts as seen in some of the photos. No new pieces were installed, so you will need to purchase a rebuild kit for this carb. I checked the brass float and it is good and does not leak. I will ship using the cheapest method available, as sometimes shipping Priority Mail can be cheaper than Standard Post depending on distance from shipping point. Monaco Grand Prix: It’s a Mercedes front row
Sat, 25 May 2013Nico Rosberg & Lewis Hamilton pictured after making it a Mercedes front row in Monaco Two weeks ago in Spain, Nico Rosberg pipped team mate Lewis Hamilton to pole position, and he’s pulled the same trick on the streets of Monaco today to ensure the second Mercedes front row in succession and his own third pole position in a row. Behind the Mercedes it’s a Red Bull second row, with Sebastian Vettel taking third place and Mark Webber fourth, with the third row made up of the Lotus of Kimi Raikkonen and the Ferrari of Fernando Alonso. McLaren managed to take seventh (Perez) and ninth (Button) with Sutil’s Force India in eighth and Vergne’s Torro Rosso in tenth.
Toyota updates the Verso MPV
Thu, 26 Feb 2009Toyota will show the all new Verso at Geneva '09 The Verso is an all new version of the MPV, offering Toyota’s Easy Flat-7 seating configuration, which basically allows owners to lower all the back five seats individually to accommodate whatever configuration they need for load/passenger requirements. The Verso is stretched over the old Verso, with a longer wheelbase and wider track, offering a more spacious interior. There’s a pretty much all-round increase in power of 20%, but Toyota has managed to pull off a 12% reduction in emissions and fuel use.

Fri, 02 Sep 2011Lotus Evora Freddie Mercury Edition We really weren’t too sure when we got a press release drop in that said “Another Lotus Bites The Dust…” and then went on to say that Lotus are building a one-off Lotus Evora S Freddie Mercury Edition to be auctioned for the Mercury Phoenix Trust. We thought it was a spoof. We decided it was almost certainly a spoof when the press release went on to say that the Freddie Mercury Edition Evora “…represents a kind of magic” and that the white, red and gold colour scheme was “…inspired by the iconic costume Freddie wore for the 1986 Magic tour”.
