Here is a used Ford ECG 5 carburetor which originally came off my 1955 Ford. It requires a rebuild but is in good complete condition with the exception of the small mechanical tab which moves the choke plate when the choke is pulled. The tab broke off, so it would need to be replaced. I disassembled the carburetor with the intent to rebuild it, but decided not to complete the job without the choke tab. I checked all the parts, cleaned everything up, and reassembled it using all the old gaskets and parts. I used carburetor cleaner, thus the reason for surface rust on some parts as seen in some of the photos. No new pieces were installed, so you will need to purchase a rebuild kit for this carb. I checked the brass float and it is good and does not leak. I will ship using the cheapest method available, as sometimes shipping Priority Mail can be cheaper than Standard Post depending on distance from shipping point. Lexus LF-Ch preview
Wed, 02 Sep 2009Following on from a front three-quarter sketch released to the press last week, Lexus has given us a good view of its Premium Compact Concept from the rear - along with its proper name: LF-Ch. Equipped with Lexus's Hybrid Drive system, this BMW 1 Series rival will be able to run on both electric and gasoline when it goes on sale in 2010. The car's full volumes, raked-back windscreen and aggressive new variation on Lexus's corporate nose are visible from the sketch, while the new rear image confirms that the newcomer will combine the looks of a coupe with the practicality of four doors.

Just last week we had the news that Land Rover’s Freelander 2 had hit sales of 300,000 since its launch in 2007, but if the Range Rover Evoque continues selling the way it has that figure will be eclipsed in half the time by the Evoque. And it’s sales of the Evoque – Land Rover has sold 60,000 Evoques in the first seven months on sale – that’s driving the need to spend more with suppliers and the announcement today that UK suppliers can look forward to an extra £250 million a year being spent to support the Evoque’s production at Halewood.
