Tesla Model X Crossover reveal and Roadster dropped by year end
Sun, 29 May 2011Tesla Roadster Production ends in December We revealed back in November that Tesla intends using the Model S platform to produce a Crossover come SUV to appeal to a more mainstream market than their current ‘Lotus with batteries’ Tesla Roadster. Having officially sown that seed, Tesla has now revealed that the Tesla Model X will be revealed – in prototype form, of course – by the end of 2011. At pretty much the same time as production of the Tesla Roadster comes to an end.
McLaren MP4-12C to start at about $230,000
Wed, 24 Nov 2010The McLaren MP4-12C sports car will have a sticker price of between $230,000 and $250,000 when it goes on sale in the United States about a year from now. McLaren said on Wednesday that the sports car will be priced at 168,500 pounds (about $265,800) in the United Kingdom and at 200,000 euros (about $267,200) in Europe when it goes on sale in that region in early 2011. Germany to tax foreign drivers
Tue, 08 Jul 2014GERMANY plans to introduce a car toll that seeks to make money from the millions of foreigners who drive through the country every year, the transport minister said today. Germany has a truck toll but, unlike many European countries, no car toll. Alexander Dobrindt said it wasn't fair that foreign drivers do not contribute to maintaining the roads and that "fairness gap" should be closed.
