New in box, never used pair of vintage, Vintique exterior chrome mirrors. These mirrors were part of my uncle's estate as he was an avid Ford collector and restorer.

I've tried to find the exact year and models these fit, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of information out on the web about them. I emailed the folks at Vintique and they tell me the original part number (BAAA-17696-S) is correct and I have no idea why it was changed. They also told me they fit Ford F100s from 1953-1966. They may fit other vehicles and I am only passing along what I was told, so please do your own homework prior to bidding.

These mirror do seem to have some minor pitting probably from their age, but they are in perfect condition otherwise. The slight pitting gives them a nice, vintage patina. They each come with their original gasket or seal as well, but, while flexible, they seem a little dried out from age.

I'm sure many of you will know far more about these mirrors and their application than I do and I welcome your input or additional information. I apologize in advance, if I've incorrectly stated anything about them.

These will be shipped promptly via either UPS.

I also have several other apparently F100 parts I'll be listing as well, as soon as I research what they are. Will be happy to combine shipping, as always.

Thanks for viewing and good luck.

Mazda Minagi concept

Wed, 19 Jan 2011

Mazda is set to reveal a new concept at the 81st Geneva motor show in March. Called the Minagi, the concept previews a new entry-level compact crossover, which will likely be called the CX-5 when it makes its production debut in Frankfurt later this year. The compact SUV is alleged to 'fully embrace' both Mazda’s Skyactiv technologies as well as the Kodo design language that debuted on the Shinari concept late last year.

No sign of global auto meltdown at Tokyo Auto Salon

Mon, 19 Jan 2009

With more than 600 cars on display and a record number of exhibitors, nothing at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon tuner show hinted at the global economic downturn. As always, there was a great mix of styles, from hard-core, 1,000-hp, supertuned machinery to weird customized scooter tricycles. Auto manufacturers tried hard to capture the minds--if not the wallets--of the younger-than-30 crowd with customized versions of production cars, while tuners were busy persuading power junkies to choose them for their next engine modification.

Porsche Cayenne Turbo S (2012) first official pictures

Fri, 12 Oct 2012

If you're a Porsche Cayenne buyer, it's unlikely you're too bothered about the political (in)correctness of your vehicle. Still, Porsche has somewhat injected a modicum of common sense into the new flagship model: the Cayenne Turbo S. Despite gains of 42bhp and 37lb ft over the already potent Cayenne Turbo, Porsche claims the Turbo S suffers no drop in fuel efficiency or inferior CO2 output.
