Mitsubishi Outlander Facelift (2010) – UK gets Outlander Juro

The Mitsubishi Outlander Juro The Mitsubishi Outlander has been with us since 2005 and a facelift has been coming ever since Mitsubishi showed the Outlander GT Concept at the New York Motor Show around this time last year. Australia managed to get the Outlander facelift back in September, but it’s taken until now for the UK to get up to date. There may be a new Peugeot 208 GTi (pictured) but no 208 CC or SW Peugeot has revealed that there will be no CC (Convertible) or SW (estate) versions of the new 208, but a 2008 SUV/Crossover is expected. The new Peugeot 208 has a weight of expectations resting on its new shoulders, with Peugeot finding sales harder to come by and hoping the new 208 may rekindle some of the sales fire the 205 had. So you’d think it would make sense to fill every possible niche imaginable with the 208, including spinning off various iterations in the style of MINI.

General Motors to keep green car technology in house

For the first time in its 100-year history, General Motors plans to design, develop and manufacture electric motors for its growing array of gasoline-electric hybrids and electric vehicles. The electric motors used in GM's current lineup of hybrids are made to GM specifications by outside vendors. GM wants to bring the design and manufacturing in-house to save money and to apply its own technology to boost performance, lower weight and reduce power consumption, said Larry Nitz, GM's chief hybrid powertrain engineer.
