Up for sale are billet aluminum adapters designed to adapt the CVR Proflo Extreme 55 gpm universal electric
water pump to Ford FE engines.  The adapters bolt onto the electric pump and seal with the O-rings included
with the pump.  The electric pump assembly then bolts onto the FE engine in the stock location, using O-rings
for seals, rather than the stock gaskets (stock gaskets can be used if desired).  Please note that two of
the photos show the CVR pump and water inlet tube attached to the adapters; the electric pump and inlet tube
(and other parts of the FE engine) are NOT included in this sale; this sale includes the adapters, O-rings,
and hardware only.

The adapters come with the hardware necessary to bolt to the electric pump.  Also, the adapters feature bosses
that allow the use of a top factory alternator bracket from 67-70 Ford cars, with a minor modification.  Other
factory alternator brackets may also work, with some modifications.  Short allen head capscrews are included
to bolt the bracket to the right side adapter; see the engine photo.  The electric pump and water inlet tube
shown in the photos are Summit Racing part numbers CVS-8000CL and CVS-8150TCL, respectively.  Other pump
colors and tube styles are available.

The length of the adapter/pump combination is nearly identical to the length of the factory Ford mechanical
water pump, so this adapter/pump combination will fit in the same space, and not interfere with the vehicle's
radiator.

FE Power LLC developed this product in order to make a 55 gpm (gallon per minute) electric water pump
available that bolts on to the FE engine in the stock location.  This pump is capable of cooling
nearly any FE powerplant.  We have personal experience with this pump on a 1000 HP 585 cubic inch SOHC, driven
over a thousand miles on the street and drag raced at the track during Hot Rod Magazine's Drag Week event
in 2015.  In combination with a large aluminum radiator and two Spal electric fans, water temperature using
this pump was held at a constant 170 degrees on the freeway, in bumper to bumper traffic, and on the drag
strip.

BMW might not be producing an M3 CSL, but this is something much better. Called the M3 GTS it’s a stripped-out 450bhp road-racer designed to take on the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. It’s a response to those that thought M Division might have lost its way: 'The BMW M3 GTS which we are currently preparing in our BMW M production workshop is a response to frequently expressed customer wishes', said M Division’s CEO Dr Kay Segler at the unveiling.

Most of these are the same evergreen recommendations that pop up for every road-trip holiday, and some of them are getting a bit stale.

2011 VW Passat Price & Model detail

Mon, 18 Oct 2010

2011 Volkswagen Passat Price & Model detail released Volkswagen gave us the very slightly facelifted 2011 VW Passat a few weeks ago. They like to call it the seventh generation Passat, but when we reported the reveal at the Paris Motor Show we said we struggled to see it as a anything more than six and three-quarters as its underpinnings are identical. Actually, Passat 6.5 might be e better description.
