I found this motor in the back room of an equipment maintenance shop on a large dairy farm here in Idaho.  It is a reconditioned Mercury 8BA motor sold by Montgomery Ward.  Whens I found it, it was wrapped in a  thick paper bag, in a cardboard box and attached to a shipping pallet. It had been stored for some time.  It had the paper work from Montgomery Ward which indicated that the reconditioning work was done by a machine shop in Spokane, Washington.  I went over the engine thoroughly looking for damage or missing parts.  I cleaned it and took the pictures.  It has been rebored with new pistons and rings, It has all new valves and new Johnson adjustable valve lifters, the 4 inch crank has been reground to M10R10 with all new bearings.  It has not been installed or started since the reconditioning worrk was done.  The Mercury heads, manifolds, pickup tube and pan are included .  I will attach it to a pallet, wrap it, and take it to a trucking company for shipping. It is the buyers responsibility to pay the shipping charges.  If the buyer wants to pick it up or wants to have it shipped in a different manner, the buyer must contact me and make arrangements.  I ACCEPT ONLY BANK CASHIERS CHECKS and these must clear before shipping.

General Motors has appointed its chief lobbyist to the newly created post of global Cadillac chief, a step aimed at transforming the American luxury brand into a strong worldwide player. Robert Ferguson, 53, who has been GM's vice president of global public policy, becomes vice president of global Cadillac. He reports directly to GM CEO Dan Akerson, the company said today.

Lincoln holds steady on the base price of the MKT for 2012 model

Lincoln on Thursday said the base price of the 2012 MKT crossover will be unchanged from the 2011 model--$45,175, including the $875 shipping charge. The base MKT is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 and is front-wheel drive. The major change for the 2012 MKT is that all-wheel-drive versions will be powered by the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6.

Public urged to give view on A9 plan

THE PUBLIC have been urged to have their say on the design of the most expensive road project in Scotland's history. The £3 billion upgrade of the A9, which runs from central Scotland to the north coast, to full dual carriageway will cost more than the M74 completion, the new Forth road bridge and the Aberdeen bypass combined. The first public displays setting out the logistical and environmental impact of the first £40 million section of the upgrade, from Kincraig to Dalraddy in the Highlands, will be unveiled this month.
