An 18" diameter 5 blade radiator cooling fan with clutch for A/C air conditioning as used on 60's era FORD big block FE engines... 352 390 428.  This was among a large lot of parts purchased after a restoration of a 68 Shelby GT500.  It had a tag marked "68 FE 390 428 w/air".  I believe the Mustang and Shelby big block cars used fans with 7 blades... it could be a Ford service replacement part as there are no visible part numbers or identifiable markings other than stamped "Front".  The fins are held on with 5 rivets and has pointed mounting arms on the base plate. Fins are straight and clean with no prior damage. The clutch also has no part #s and the only mark is an ink stamp letter "C".  Overall height of clutch is 3", from back of mounted fan blade to base of shaft is 1-9/16".  This 5 blade fan & clutch appears identical to those used on 60 61 62 Galaxie T-bird Thunderbird Starliner Sunliner ( see ebay listing 152094616866 ).  Please research this item thoroughly as I cant be sure of exact application.   Item appears to be in good condition and shaft turns firmly with no slop or play.

Bridgestone’s ‘We’ve been everywhere’ Road Trip prize giving

Fri, 09 Aug 2013

Bridgestone’s ‘I’ve been everywhere’ Road Trip Flogging tyres isn’t the easiest job in the world; we all need them – at intervals far too regular than we’d like – but buyers tend to fall in to two camps – those who know a brand and ask for it by name, and those that have put on their car whatever the man at Kwik Fit is pushing this week. So ‘Brand Awareness’ is the name of the game (a game that can backfire – just ask Pirelli what’s going on in F1) and the more potential buyers a tyre brand can lodge its name in the brain of, the better. Which is why Bridgestone are running their We’ve been everywhere interactive campaign which very cleverly plots the escape of one man from office drudgery and showcases his journey out in to the proper world, all to a soundtrack of Johnny Cash’s ‘I’ve been everywhere’.

2012 Toyota Yaris: The UK stuff

Wed, 13 Jul 2011

The 2012 Toyota Yaris - the UK details We’ve been trailing the 2012 Toyota Yaris since the end of last year when Toyota in Japan unveiled the JDM Toyota Viz ( the Japanese version of the Yaris) and again a month ago with the unofficial Euro details. But now Toyota UK has decided – especially as the 2012 Yaris is starting to roll off production lines in Europe from today – that they may as well make the new Yaris official, give us some details and let us know exactly how much a new Yaris will now cost. The Yaris will come in four flavours of trim – T2, TR, SR and Spirit – although Toyota say that a full two thirds of sales are of the TR trim.

BMW X3 M Sport Package - on sale Spring 2011 BMW has taken the wraps off a bit of butchness for the 2011 BMW X3 with the reveal of the M Sports Package. Which won’t surprise regular readers much as we reported on the 2011 BMW X3 M Sports Package as far back as July. Still, it’s nice that BMW has got round to making it official.
