UK Car Scrappage scheme gets green light?
Tue, 14 Apr 2009Mandy said NO to scrappage, but it looks like Alistair Darling will introduce a scheme in the next budget [ad#ad-1] After much to-ing and fro-ing, it has been claimed by most of the UK national press over the weekend that a UK version of the Car Scrappage Scheme will be introduced in the budget by Alistair Darling. Audi S5 Sportback revealed
Fri, 28 Aug 2009Audi are bringing the S5 Sportback to Frankfurt The S5 Sportback gets Audi’s 3.0 litre supercharged lump putting out 329bhp and delivering 324lb/ft of torque. Which will give the S5 Sportback performance of around 5.2 seconds to 60 mph. This change from big V8s is a shame, but it does result in better economy – estimates for the S5 S/B are pushing on 30mpg – and the reduced emissions help car makers like Audi lower their average emissions, and important consideration these days.
Audi R8 Spyder (2010) first pictures
Thu, 10 Sep 2009By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 10 September 2009 10:15 These are the first pictures of the Audi R8 Spyder, after the images were leaked onto the internet ahead of the car’s debut at the Frankfurt motor show next week. Power is only expected to come from the 5.2-litre V10 engine, so the Spyder will send 518bhp and 390lb ft to all four wheels via either a six-speed manual or an automated-manual R-tronic gearbox. The R8 Spyder also has the same double-strake front intakes and rear vents as the V10, plus the chrome-surrounded central grille and twin oval exhausts.
