Ford Mercury 289 2/4 Bbl Air Cleaner 64 65 66 67 Mustang Fairlane Comet Cyclone on 2040-parts.com

This is a used Ford/Mercury 289 2V Air Cleaner that is in good used condition. I do not see any dents, or rust issues (except inside surface rust). It is solid, I have blasted similiar before and I know this one should not have pin holes when clean. Both original wing nuts for the snorkel are present. It will need the old sticky rubber gasket for the top lid removed and replaced. I researched this one (thank you for the great book Mr. Mannel) and I believe this one came off of a 1966 289 2100 Autolite equipped Mercury motor (1966=corporate blue and I believe the sticker is 65-66 Mercury). This should be the exact style for the 1966 Mustang and Fairlane as well. This style was used on the non Hipo 289 4100 as well in 1966. Some 1964 and 65 used this style. Please use your references to confirm your needs (and definitely confirm the correct engine and air cleaner colors before doing so - I see too many 1965 engines painted blue).
