A very rare Ford Model T Accessory - The Roper Gasoline Saver. Manufacturer: C.F. Roper and Co. This was purchased for a 1911 Ford Model T Touring project that has since changed and is no longer needed. I understand that this accessory will fit many (if not all) years of Ford Model T vehicles. The accessory is in pristine condition, but I believe this has been rebuilt and is not NOS. The part has never been installed on a car since it was rebuilt. This is one of MANY accessories that were made during the production run of the Ford Model T. I would also say that this is one of the MANY useless accessories because this is really nothing more than a somewhat controlled air leak! The ball and spring are intact and the desired amount(?) of vacuum leak is controlled by adjusting the brass tube and setting the lock nut. The spring and parts of the service plunger is intact and will shut off the vacuum leak when pressed in. Also included are a pair of gaskets and a pair of Brass Bolts. Not exactly sure when it was made, but the design implies early in Model T production and the inventor had passed in 1916. What you see in the photos is what you will receive! MG Dynamo EV Concept debuts at SMMT

As part of celebrations for the 90th birthday of MG, there’s an exhibition of MG’s models at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) offices in London this week, which include a global debut for an electric MG city car. The MG Dynamo Concept is MG’s vision of an electric city car which, say MG, encompasses “the latest in design and engineering technology”.

The 4.2 straight six never failed to impress in the way the car just disappeared over the horizon in plush silence (apart from some wind noise from the door seals) and I loved the drama of opening two petrol caps and pumping in fuel from both sides of the car. After long fast drives to southern Germany I always arrived as fresh as when I started out. The car attracted admiring interest from everyone including little old ladies!
