A very rare Ford Model T Accessory - The Roper Gasoline Saver.

Manufacturer: C.F. Roper and Co.

This was purchased for a 1911 Ford Model T Touring project that has since changed and is no longer needed. I understand that this accessory will fit many (if not all) years of Ford Model T vehicles.

The accessory is in pristine condition, but I believe this has been rebuilt and is not NOS. The part has never been installed on a car since it was rebuilt.

This is one of MANY accessories that were made during the production run of the Ford Model T. I would also say that this is one of the MANY useless accessories because this is really nothing more than a somewhat controlled air leak!

The ball and spring are intact and the desired amount(?) of vacuum leak is controlled by adjusting the brass tube and setting the lock nut. The spring and parts of the service plunger is intact and will shut off the vacuum leak when pressed in.

Also included are a pair of gaskets and a pair of Brass Bolts.

Not exactly sure when it was made, but the design implies early in Model T production and the inventor had passed in 1916.

What you see in the photos is what you will receive!

Shipping is $12.95 in the Lower 48 US States via Economy Shipping Service. Hi/AK/PR/APO AP may be higher. I will refund any savings in actual shipping charges.

MG Dynamo EV Concept debuts at SMMT

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

The MG Dynamo EV Concept (pictured) is on display at the SMMT MG may not be what it once was (which you can take either way), but as a marque MG is 90 years old. As part of celebrations for the 90th birthday of MG, there’s an exhibition of MG’s models at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) offices in London this week, which include a global debut for an electric MG city car. The MG Dynamo Concept is MG’s vision of an electric city car which, say MG, encompasses “the latest in design and engineering technology”.

Happiness is a Jaguar XJ6 Coupé, says Michael J. Scott

Thu, 01 Jul 2010

My first Jaguar experience was with the purchase of an XJ6 Coupe which I bought because I thought it was very elegant.  The 4.2 straight six never failed to impress in the way the car just disappeared over the horizon in plush silence (apart from some wind noise from the door seals) and I loved the drama of opening two petrol caps and pumping in fuel from both sides of the car. After long fast drives to southern Germany I always arrived as fresh as when I started out. The car attracted admiring interest from everyone including little old ladies!

Fast New Ford Teased Ahead Of Goodwood Debut

Tue, 24 Jun 2014

IF YOU want to see the latest fast Focus, there’s only one place to see it: Goodwood’s Festival of Speed this weekend. Ford has chosen the motoring and motorsport festival to showcase its newest Focus ST, as the Blue Oval prepares to roll out the latest version of its family hatch in the coming months. Benefiting from the technology and quality improvements revealed earlier this year for the regular new Focus, the ST will be displayed on the car maker’s stand and piloted up the famous Goodwood hill over the course of the three-day event.
