The 2011 EyesOn Design Awards, held at the NAIAS in Detroit last week, commemorated the late Chuck Jordan, a Founding Chairman of the annual EyesOn Design event, which celebrates its 25th recurrence this summer. Dr. Philip Hessburg, President of the Detroit Institute of Ophalmology – a non-profit internationally recognized organization that presents the awards every year – opened the ceremony by stating that Jordan was the "unwavering internal advocate" at GM.

Another Paris motor show attendee has been confirmed today: the lower, sleeker, altogether less mumsy 2012 Kia Carens. Ex-Audi design guru Peter Schreyer looks to have treated the Carens to the now-trademark Kia grille and more European-style design, but all we've got to go on so far are these rather 'negative' teaser images from Kia. Jeep shows six Moab Easter Jeep Safari concepts

Jeep introduced six concepts headed for the Moab Easter Jeep Safari next week. Three of the off-road ready concepts were based on the Wrangler, two on the new Cherokee and the last was a gently warmed over version of the Grand Cherokee. This is the 12th year that the Jeep brand is participating in the event, but it'll be the 48th Easter Jeep event overall.
