Here we have a professionally re-plated rear License Plate Light for the 1964-1966 Mustang.  The plating has been done by a plating shop that has been around since the mid-50s and the plating shows great on the light .  The wire is brand new and includes a new wire asphalt cloth just like the Ford Factory used in the mid-60s.  A new Grommet was put in and fits tight in the wiring.  The Grommet will fit on the hole of the trunk, by which the Grommet fit on my Mustang.     The OEM glass lens appeared to be in great shape, and I included a new lens gasket and bulb.  Finally included are 2 OEM replated light hanging screws   This is a very nice restored lamp and will look great in concourse restorations or for someone who enjoys having Ford Factory original parts.

The Fact is that NOS License plate lights are almost impossible to find these days on eBay, or other vendors for 1965-1966 Mustangs.  The License Plate Lights that come-up for sale are just Ford Galaxie"service parts" Lights and are different from Mustang light in design....    What I'm selling is a true Ford Factory License Plate Light with all number/letter stamping.  Restored back to Factory condition.   The only difference from my Light is the trunk holes grommet rubber bushing is different and the wire is brand new.  But the bushing fits tight in the trunks hole.  Having a new wire assembly means not having to worry about conductivity problems that 50 year old wires cause from copper corrosion and brittle wire insulation that can brake and cause the light to stop working. It would cost much more time and money to purchase a OEM light and have it professionally re-plated and get all the accessories that I listed above.  Anyone can paint a light, but plating brings the light to a whole another level.  Worth the investment for your Pony.

Don't settle for foreign reproductions, keep your Mustang real with Factory Ford Parts.
Keep searching you won't find another Factory 1965-1966 license plate light in this condition on eBay....

Price estimates for making the license plate light look FoMoCo Factory again:
This is how much will cost, if you plan on doing your own license plate light restoration.

Porsche Boxster S Black Edition at Geneva

Wed, 02 Feb 2011

The Porsche Boxster S Black edition Just over a week ago we had a Black Edition Porsche revealed as on the way to Geneva – the Porsche 911 Black Edition. Today we get the Porsche Boxster S Black Edition. We can but assume that either Porsche has stumbled on a job lot of black paint and leather, or the designer of their limited edition models is going through their dark phase.

Cadillac CTS Coupe (2010) – Official

Mon, 23 Nov 2009

Cadillac will launch the CTS Coupe in Spring 2010 Having let the cat out of the bag over plans for a range-topping Cadillac CTS-V Coupe (and the CTS-V Wagon) the other day, GM has now released official detail of its less powerful sibling, the CTS Coupe, which will launch in the Spring of 2010, so as is American convention we should probably call it the 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe (the American car industy is as bad as the fashion industry – everything is ‘Next Year’). The CTS Coupe joins the Saloon (Sedan) and Estate (Wagon) to complete the three model lineup for the CTS, and is by far the best looking of the bunch, although to be fair both the saloon and estate are attractive in a bold, American kind of way. Sitting a couple of inches lower than the saloon, the Coupe is also a couple of inches shorter.

Nissan TeRRA [w/Gallery]

Wed, 12 Sep 2012

Nissan has added another entry to the list of things see at the upcoming Paris motor show in the shape of its TeRRA SUV concept. The TeRRA is a seeming oxymoron as an electric SUV, mixing two of Nissan's strongest market segments into a vehicle that resembles a cross between a Leaf and a Patrol. "You have the big tires, high belt-line, thick pillars and thin side windows of the SUV vocabulary,” explains Shiro Nakamura, Nissan senior vice president and chief creative officer.
