Happy New Year from all at Cars UK It would be easy to do what every car site seems to be doing and either look back at the favourite new cars of 2009 – or the last decade as we move on to 2010 – or look forward to what 2010 will bring. But we decided to indulge ourselves a little and look back at what 2009 meant for Cars UK. Cars UK came to life on the interweb at the very end of 2008.

Jaguar C-X75 500bhp hybrid supercar - here by 2014

Jaguar today confirmed it will bring a limited, 200-strong edition of the C-X75 hybrid supercar to market in the next two years. The C-X75 is being developed in partnership with Williams and will be the second British hybrid supercar – alongside McLaren's new P11 – to challenge the Ferrari Enzo successor and Porsche 918 e-sypercars. First new Saab rolls off the production line

A NEW SAAB car has rolled off the Swedish production line for the first time in two and a half years. National Electric Vehicle Sweden, the Hong Kong-based company that bought Saab out of bankruptcy in September last year, presented its new 9-3 Aero at the factory in Trollhattan. The company, also called NEVS, aims to make electric cars under the Saab brand, but said it will also provide petrol cars until "electric cars fully meet customer demands." The first 200 cars will be delivered in spring costing 279,000 kronor (£26,000) each.
