This auction is for a new pair of  Motive 31 spline axles for the 67-70 Mustang 9 inch rear end.  These will replace 28 spline axles as an upgrade but you will need a 9 inch third member built to accommodate the larger 31 spline axles if you are currently using 28 spline axles.  They also fit certain years of  Cougar, Torino, Fairlane, Comet, Cyclone and Montego with a 9 inch rear end.  The axles have a 5 lug 4 1/2 inch bolt circle and are brand new never used axles from Motive.  The long axle measures 31 1/4 inches and the short axle measures 27 1/8 inches.  The measurements are taken by hooking the tape to outside edge of the axle flange and measuring to the end of the axle.  These are bare axles and will need studs, bearings and retainer plates.  *Please Note* If you would like the studs, bearings and retainer plates installed before the axles are shipped there is a $75 charge added to the winning bid to do both axles and they would be ready to bolt in the rear end. Otherwise they are shipped as pictured, (bare),  to the winning bidder.  These axles will work with either single track, (Open), or posi-track Traction Lock differentials.  Applications for these axles are 66-69 Comet, 67-70 Cougar XR7, 66-68 Fairlane GT, 66-70 Falcon Futura, 68-69 Montego MX & Cyclone, 67-70 Mustang Mach I and 68-69 Torino with the 31 spline 9 inch Ford removable carrier type rear differential.  If you have a question e-mail me before you bid. Buyer pays shipping from zip code 47660. Full payment is expected within 5 days of auction end. Sorry, no personal or business checks accepted. Please look at my other auctions for more gears and parts. Thanks for looking. Good Luck Bidding!!!

BMW Vision ConnectedDrive: BMW’s Automotive Information Future

Thu, 03 Mar 2011

BMW Vision ConnectedDrive at Geneva When the BMW Vision ConnectedDrive first crossed our path we did wonder if it would be a concept version of a small BMW Roadster, A sub Z4. A BMW Z2, perhaps. But it soon became clear that even if the BMW Vision ConnectedDrive did point towards a new BMW Roadster, is was far more about showing how BMW are trying to communicate an ever increasing amount of information to the driver.

Rows over directions cause most in-car arguments

Wed, 06 Aug 2014

ROWS over routes are the biggest cause of in-car friction, according to an AA/Populus survey. Two in three people argue in the car, with 18-24 year olds more likely to row than those over 65. Getting from A to B was the main cause of arguments following by driving too fast, not asking for directions and noisy children.

Peugeot 2008 Crossover already selling well in UK – and half are White

Thu, 18 Jul 2013

More than half of UK sales of the new Peugeot 2008 (pictured) are white cars The Peugeot 2008 – the crossover/SUV take on the new 208 – arrived in production guise at the Geneva Motor Show in March and looked a properly credible effort from the beleaguered French car maker. In fact, when Peugeot announced prices for the 2008 and their UK target sales of 8,000 a year, we thought they were being conservative with their projections, especially as the 2008 starts at a very reasonable £13k. That soon proved to be right when Peugeot announced it was having to double production of the 2008 as sales were much stronger across Europe than they’d anticipated, and it seems the same is happening in the UK.
