Product Description

LubeLocker 8.8" Rear Differential Cover Gasket
Keep the your rear end clean and free of leaks on your 1986-2014 Mustang with a Lube Locker differential cover gasket. LubeLocker Gaskets are without equal. Rock crawlers, drag racers, circle track, and desert race patrons will recognize the quality of the rubber coated, steel core construction. LubeLocker’s signature orange elastomer beading emphasizes their single-minded purpose: to be the best differential gasket.

Hassle-Free Install with No Mess!
Tired of scraping the mess silicone sealant leaves behind on the differential cover? Ever had to wail on the cover with a hammer to break it free? All vehicles deserve clean, grit free differentials with no oil seepage. And racers deserve quick, leak free access to the inside of their axles. LubeLocker Gaskets can retain their seal even if the differential cover shifts, while the orange elastomer beading delivers superior sealing through a wide range of temperatures. Keep the paper in the desk drawer and throw away your RTV, LubeLocker Gaskets are the only differential seal you need.

NOTE
While these gaskets were not intended to be reused, many customers have reused them with great success. This is the gasket you need when installing a cast aluminum girdle type rear differental cover!

5 Stars   No leaks, no problem
By on 3/16/2015
Had to change my gear oil for the first time in stang and it was at 85xxx on the odometer! Bought it used but it has never been maintained extensively so I have been just going through the manual, knocking stuff out. This was the last thing on the list, and the fact I didn't have to use RTV saved me about 2 hours worth of drying time. No leaks at all. Keeps my Royal Purple nice and safe in there.

5 Stars   Beware of the Torque specs recommend on this Gasket
By on 7/13/2015
This Thing works great stopped my leaking diff but the specs recommend to torque the bolt first to 15 ft pounds then to 30 ft pounds if you have strong bolts I recommend those specs. If you are like me and have diff cover M4033G2 I dont recommend you going that high stick to 28 ft lb on the stock bolts. I went to 30 ft lbs on diff cover and two of the head bolts snapped. Had to go to ace hardware to replace the bolts went to 30 ft lbs and it snaps another bolt. I was using crafts man 1/2in torque wrench. On the snapped bolts I didn't really get to 30ft lbs before bolts snap so beware and stick to your diff torque specs. Still awesome product highly recommend it.

5 Stars   You'll never use RTV again...

This is an amazing product that i wish id found years ago, no complaints what so ever. This should be a factory standard part... install consists of cleaning whatever mess was there before installing the bolts, torquing twice, fill with fluid, and calling it a day. Quickest Diff-Cover install ever!

Spy photos: BMW i8 hits Swedish test track

Mon, 30 Apr 2012

Spy photographers caught the new BMW i8 testing on a secret track wearing the company’s familiar psychedelic camouflage. The test car pictured is a preproduction model rather than a concept BMW i8, similar to what should appear in 2013. As reported earlier, we’re expecting BMW’s 2014 i8 hybrid coupe to get a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder direct-injection gasoline engine--essentially the same unit earmarked to head into the next-generation Mini and the front-wheel-drive BMW 1-series due out in 2014.
