This auction for the pictured FORD MOTOR COMPANY ( FoMoCo ) part number: C5AB-54425A82-A ( one each ) backing plate for the hood or decklid emlem for a mid-nineteen-sixties full-sized Ford, in New-Old-Stock Condition without original packaging. Discovered this in a box with a bunch of other parts dating around 1965. This piece is made of plastic and is in great shape. Looks like to me: that this probably fit like a gasket between the cars emblem and either the hood or decklid. The guy who needs it; should recognize it; it's about 11 1/2" long. Good luck bidders. 2012 Volkswagen Beetle to launch with Black Turbo edition

Volkswagen is borrowing a page from sister company Porsche and will turn to the color black to sex up the soon-to-arrive 2012 VW Beetle--and to draw attention to a preorder program launching this year. The Beetle Black Turbo edition follows in the lineage of Porsche 911s augmented with Black editions, and the VW will sticker for $25,720, including shipping. Power comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder rated at 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque, which is the same as the regular turbo Beetle--and VW's hot hatch, the GTI.

BMW and Zagato tease next collaboration

BMW has teased the first image of its BMW Zagato roadster, the second collaboration between the automaker and the Italian design studio, which is set to be unveiled this weekend at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Earlier this year at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy, BMW unveiled its Zagato-designed coupe, which featured the carrozeria's signature double-bubble roof, the high, fastback Kamm tail and full, blown surfaces. The BMW Zagato Coupé was the first collaboration between Zagato and BMW, and was the first Italian-designed car to wear the blue and white propeller since the 2003 Bertone Birusa.

Mitsubishi set to unveil three concepts in Tokyo

Mitsubishi is planning the world debut of three concept cars at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013. The Mitsubishi Concept GC-PHEV is the first of three concepts and will be a full-size SUV powered by a PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) system. The GC-PHEV will offer preventative safety technology and driver support technology in addition to wireless connectivity.
