Geneva Show 2014: Adam gets hot
Wed, 05 Mar 2014VAUXHALL’S stylish baby car has appeared in a more performance-oriented form at the Geneva Motor Show. The Adam S uses the familiar 1.4-litre engine already seen in the standard Adam but here it comes in turbocharged form to release 148bhp and 162lb.ft of torque, significantly more than the current most powerful Adam model. As with other sporty Vauxhall models the Adam S has chassis upgrades including bigger wheels and tyres, stiffened and lowered suspension and high specification brakes.

Thu, 01 May 2014Twenty years ago today – 1 May 1994 – the world lost arguably the most talented Formula One driver ever: Ayrton Senna. Numbers alone don’t quite describe the genius the Brazilian driver showed at the wheel of all manner of cars throughout his career, finding time and speed where others simply couldn’t. So, on the 20th anniversary of Senna’s death in a tragic accident at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at Imola – only a day after Roland Ratzenberger, a young Austrian driver and friend of Senna, also sadly lost his life, while qualifying – we’re celebrating the life of one of Formula One’s most charismatic drivers.
BMW 5 Series (2010 / 2011) Revealed
Mon, 23 Nov 2009The new 2010 / 2011 BMW 5 Series It’s been coming for a long time – the 2010/2011 BMW 5 Series – and just last week we had a picture of the new 5 Series from a German magazine. But now BMW has finally gone official and revealed all the goodies on their mid-size saloon of the future – the 2010 BMW 5 Series or, if you’re in the US, the 2011 BMW 5 Series. The new 5 Series migrates to the same underpinnings as the new 5 Series GT and 7 Series – and for that matter the Rolls Royce Ghost – which means this new 5 Series loses the traditional suspension struts and gets a multi-link arrangement all round.
