Mon, 28 Nov 2011On the morning of the day he celebrated 20 years as head of Ferrari, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo says his first thought was about the future, not the past. "I have not come up with a comprehensive idea yet," said Montezemolo in an interview at his office in Maranello, 11 miles south of Modena in central Italy.
McLaren 650S GT3 race car at 2014 Festival of Speed
Mon, 30 Jun 2014By Nikolai Attard First Official Pictures 30 June 2014 12:53 The all-new McLaren 650S GT3 was officially revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, wearing McLaren’s historic number 59 livery. This is the latest track-focused race car bound for 2015’s GT3 championship and is based on the McLaren 650S and the same carbonfibre MonoCell chassis. Large air intakes and a massive front splitter dominate the new McLaren’s front end, giving it a more aggressive look while new lightweight carbonfibre bodywork wraps around redesigned air intakes for better cooling.
Fiat 500L launches
Wed, 04 Jul 2012The Fiat 500L – a larger Fiat 500 based on the Punto – has launched in Italy ahead of going on sale in the UK in early 2013. We had the official arrival of the Fiat 500L at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and now we get the 500L’s official launch in Turin – together with lots of new photos and a video – before the 500L goes on sale around the world. The 500L is actually based on the underpinnings of the Punto to create a 500 MPV and, sensibly, Fiat has done with the 500L what MINI did with the Countryman and slapped an iconic badge on even though the 500L bears scant resemblance to its cute little sibling.
