This auction is for a full set of Mazda 2.5L Mazda KL series solid lash adjusters (SLAs). NOTE: These do not work in KLZE motors because the KLZE intake side lash adjusters are larger (33mm) and these are 30mm (KLDE only).  If you purchase these accidentially -because you didn't read this note -I will not accept the return unless you want to pay a 50% restocking fee.

These are highly sought after because of their consistency of valve lift and duration.  With the standard HLA hydraulic lash adjusters - the very small oil port holes can become blocked over time and thus significantly effect the hydraulic "Pump-up" function of the lash adjusters.  With solid shimmed adjusters - there is no "pump-up".  Nor is there any chance of varied lift or duration since they are solid.

Notice that these are also the ultra-lightweight design with the hollow stems.  Lighter is better when it comes to valvetrain.  To run higher RPMs it is desirable to have the lightest valvetrain possible.  These are very hard to find so get them now while you can.  I find these very rarely and so the next set might be a long while off.

BMW supercars

Tue, 29 Jul 2008

By Tim Pollard 29 July 2008 09:00 For a company that calls itself a purveyor of 'ultimate driving machines', it hasn't much form in the supercar arena. However, its one real entry is one hell of an effort. The '70s M1 was a mid-engined brute that mixed a mid-engine straight six with scintillating looks and a razor-sharp drive.

CDN-Interior Motives China Conference 2014 – Day 2

Wed, 23 Apr 2014

Chris Bangle gave those contemplating a lie-in after the first day of the CDN-Interior Motives conference the incentive to grab a front-row seat for his opening keynote. Thought-provoking, clear and inspirational as ever, we will cover Bangle's 'State of the Union: Time for Deep Car Design?' presentation in a separate feature. There's simply too much to cover in detail to include here.

July 9: Keeping it topped off

Fri, 09 Jul 2010

As expected, when I walked back to my parking space at VSP parking across the street from Burbank Airport the i-MiEV was fully charged. No problem. It had more than 24 hours to get charged and it can't take more than 16 hours to do it, if you figure one hour per kWh at 120 volts.
