2013-2016 FOCUS ST QUAIFE TORQUE BIASING DIFFERENTIAL

Maximize traction and performance with the Quaife ATB helical limited slip differential for the Focus ST MMT6 gearbox. A direct replacement for the standard open differential, the Quaife ATB differential transforms your car's performance and improves cornering. Unlike a conventional plate-style limited slip differential, the Quaife differential relies on gears rather than clutch plates for its operation. That means it is much smoother in operation and never locks harshly with a set pre-load of wheel slip across the driven axle. Instead, the Quaife differential automatically biases the torque away from the spinning wheel, across the axle to a constantly varying degree.

  • Fits 2013-2016 Focus ST
  • Maintenance-free design which retains the standard lubrication
  • Reduces torque steer and snatching
  • Produced from certified steel billets and CNC machined before being inspected to 9001 standards
  • Proven in circuit, drag and rally racing as well as daily road use.
  • Note: Focus ST Quaife Torque Biasing Differential Installation Kit M-4026-FST is needed to install this part.

White Van Man 'worst for tailgating'

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

MOTORISTS should beware of White Van Man on their tail, according to a survey of thousands of accidents. Van drivers were 47% more likely to be involved in a crash when they were following other drivers too closely, the survey by AXA Business Insurance found. The survey also found van drivers were much more likely than other drivers to crash while reversing, doing a U-turn and changing lanes, while they were more liable than other road users to get tired or distracted.

Toyota GT86 gets 325bhp from Gazoo Racing – again

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

Toyota’s renegade Gazoo Racing are teasing another Toyota GT86 with 325bhp – the GRMN FR Sports Concept Platinum – for the Tokyo Auto Salon. There’s been a lot of speculation surrounding the Toyoya GT 86 (and the Subarua BRZ too) and the likelihood that it will get forced induction at some point to offer a chunk more power than its standard 197bhp. It’s always seemed likely that Toyota and Subaru would add a supercharger or turbo (or both) to their cars to give a properly powerful option.

Italdesign Giugiaro debuts electric Clipper MPV

Thu, 06 Mar 2014

The Volkswagen T-ROC wasn't the only Geneva Motor Show concept unveiled this week that uses the Golf platform, Italdesign Giugiaro unveiled an MPV concept that managed to turn quite a few heads. Italdesign is owned by Volkswagen, so this design and engineering exercise seemed like a no-brainer, allowing the company to show off an extra concept car in an entirely different wrapper. The Clipper an all-wheel drive six-seat MPV sitting on the MQB platform, which Volkswagen is keen to expand beyond the Golf and the next-generation Scirocco, and it features two electric motors producing 149-hp each, one for each axle.
