FOR YOUR PONY ..... This functional differential cover was engineered by Ford as original equipment on the 2011-13 GT500 and 2012/13 Boss 302. This cover can be directly installed on any 1986-2014 8.8 live axle Mustang. This innovative piece was designed with cooling fins to reduce overall gear oil temperatures and to increase rear end housing rigidity for improved gear set and bearing life. We've taken this cover a step further by installing fill and drain plugs for ease of maintenance. Includes bolts for installation, fill and drain plugs, and cover vent plug. Note: The O.E. application of this cover has the axle vent on the axle cover. All other 8.8 rear ends have the axle vent already installed on one of the axle tubes. Use the included vent plug to plug the vent hole on the cover and continue to use the existing vent on the axle tube. This cover does not fit IRS-equipped Cobra models. CCS-AISI Project 2008
Fri, 10 Oct 2008The College for Creative Studies (CCS) recently celebrated 20 years of partnership with the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). Illustrating that environmental responsibility needn't come at the expense of design, power or desire, three students created their individual vision of a "Green Steel" concept car, resulting in the Lincoln Continental, Mazda Hyoryu and Mitsubishi Synthesis. Considering the current energy and environmental global crisis, the students involved in this project took the opportunity to re-think mobility for the year 2040 by developing innovative adaptations for automobiles and proposing a more humanistic approach to transportation. Mitsubishi Synthesis Dave Owsen This automated 'travelling entertainment center of the future' bridges the gap between public and personal transportation. Utilizing the city traffic tier of the transportation network for navigation, the vehicle also creates a brand media experience for young urban commuters, combining elements of transportation and entertainment.
