College Exhibition: Creapole 2013

Creapole's class of 2013 used its end-of-year degree show to research many emerging areas for improved mobility as well as alternative research into emerging cultural trends towards certain OEMs. From healthcare infrastructure in Polynesia and raising road safety awareness in Italy, to car-sharing with a twist from Renault, each project delves into the socio-economic needs of various markets. Some hybrids are not a green as they seem, interest group says

Car buyers who think they are helping the planet by choosing a hybrid vehicle to aid in cutting emissions don't always get the biggest bang for their buck, according to an environmental interest group. A report from the Union of Concerned Scientists shows that some hybrids come at a much higher price tag than their similarly equipped, conventional-powertrain counterparts, yet offer little in the way of environmental gain. These not-so-green hybrids compromise their value or eco-friendliness in a variety of ways.

Producer Michael Mann tapped to develop and direct Go Like Hell movie

Producer Michael Mann, best known for hits such as Heat, Ali and more recently, Public Enemies, is in talks with 20th Century Fox to develop and potentially direct a movie based on the A. J. Baime book Go Like Hell, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
