Ford T9 T-9 Type 9 5-speed Transmission on 2040-parts.com

Berkeley, California, United States

A great 5-speed trans replacement for some 4-cylinder Mustangs and Capris,  MGBs and other British sports cars, and many kit and racing cars. T9s can also be used in the place of some OD units on classic Volvos and a few others.

The trans itself is complete, but does not come with the bell housing or shifter. I have an unused/new short-shifter available if there's interest. The T9 was pulled from a 1986 Merkur XR4Ti (a.k.a., Ford Sierra) with a 2.3 Turbo 4-cylinder. The car showed 105K miles on it. The action is smooth, but we haven't tested in a car.

Please note there are no real options in eBay shipping, so I had to put in a 70lb weight. This is NOT the shipping method that can be used. The winning bidder will be responsible for setting up shipping or picking up in Northern California, and it will most likely be by LTL truck. There might be some additional "handling" costs to get it ready to ship - like strapping it on a pallet, or crated - but it will be billed at cost. Your carrier will give you instructions.

Thank you for your interest!

Mon, 13 Jun 2011

A splendid new concours debuted on the sprawling main lawn of Lacy Park in sunny San Marino, Calif., on June 12--the San Marino Motor Classic. While modern Porsches, Ferraris and even hot rods and Cobras spread out on side lawns of the great park, the balance of the show--82 of 179 registered entries--were Classic Car Club of America (CCCA) Packards, Lincolns, Cadillacs and Rolls-Royces, scattered across the main lawn.

The Honda CR-V 1.6i-DTEC (pictured) does 77.86 mpg in the ‘Real World’ Official car economy figures are pretty useless at being anything other than a guide to the relative economy of cars on sale. But Honda are trying to prove that’s not true. They’ve taken their new CR-V 1.6i-DTEC – which has official economy of 62.8 mpg – out on a mission to prove it can do even more miles to the gallon in the real world than in official tests.

Weekend Racing Preview: Alonso eyes F1 title; NASCAR hits Texas

Fri, 05 Nov 2010

Formula One Can Fernando Alonso make it three Formula One championships in Brazil on Sunday? After an amazing F1 season that has seen five drivers battling for the title, everything could be resolved at the penultimate race at Interlagos, but only if Alonso stays ahead of his rivals. The Spaniard's recent surge and win two weeks ago in Korea have put him in front at just the right time, and the title is now his to lose.
