Subaru plans to extend its lineup in late 2011 or early 2012 by adding a sporty coupe developed with Toyota. Also, an Impreza hybrid that uses technology from Toyota is expected in 2012. Toyota now owns about 17 percent of Subaru.

Renault’s electric cars ‘will cost the same as its diesels’

Battery-powered electric Renaults are expected to cost from around £15,000 when they arrive in the next couple of years. The announcement takes into account the UK Government’s £5000 EV incentive scheme announced earlier this month.

Toyota Auris to revert to Toyota Corolla? It’s reported that Toyota are going to drop the Auris name when the Auris gets replaced in Europe in 2013 and revert to the Toyota Corolla badge. Although Toyota are getting more adventurous with their cars, they still make a lot of ‘beige’ stuff.
