NO CRACKS OR CHIPS CHROME PLATING IN GREAT SHAPE ONE SCUFF MARK, CENTER EMBLEM IN GREAT SHAPE ALSO. ALL 4 MOUNTING TABS ARE GOOD, TAKEN OFF AND STORED INSIDE FOR YEARS GOOD ITEM TO KEEP AS A SPARE. Wed, 06 Jul 2011MINI JCW Roadster pounding the Nurburgring Now we’ve got the MINI Coupe out in the open, with and without its swirly black and white camouflage, it must be close to MINI doing the same with the Roadster. Which is probably why we have spy photos of the MINI JCW Roadster pounding round the Nurburgring – last shakedowns, we assume. Because we can’t imagine MINI dragging out the reveal of the production model Roadster much past Frankfurt – if it takes that long – which will be a full two years on from when MINI first revealed the 2-seater MINI Roadster – the soft top twin of the MINI Coupe.
Saab Museum reopens & Saab back in production – sort of
Mon, 26 Mar 2012Saabs are being built and the Saab Museum re-opens. The Saab Museum has reopened after Saab’s bankruptcy problems and a Trollhatten dealer is to ‘build’ the last 100 Saabs. We’re still waiting for a decision from Saab’s administrators about which – if any – of the bids they’ve received for what’s left of Saab are solid enough to pursue.
Designer Albrecht Graf Goertz dies
Thu, 09 Nov 2006One of the world's legendary designers, Albrecht Graf Goertz, has died aged 92. Goertz was best known for his work at BMW, though he also worked with Porsche, Nissan and Toyota during his career. His most acclaimed works are the BMW 503 and 507 models - but Goertz also had a hand in the design of the 1964 Silvia 1600 Sports Coupe.
