Original used heavy duty ford 351w V8 small block set of 8 rods with stock .030 pistons . In nice condition. Rod casting number is D6OE. These are the rods with the football bolt head and are better for high performance use. Pistons are in good condition and the only part number on them is 463P. You will need new rings for them. Fits 69 70 71 72 73 74 75 76 77 78 79 80 351w, 5.8L., mustang, fairlane, galaxie, torino, falcon, hardtop, futura, sedan, sprint convertible and mercury comet cyclone caliente 1969 1970 1971 1972 1973 1974 1975 1976 1977 1978 1979 1980. Sun, 05 Aug 2012The Department of Engineering Technology at the Middle Tennessee State University has developed a plug-in hybrid retro-fit system for cars. As hybrid cars show the world that we can get more miles to the gallon from fuel by adding in an electric motor to the mix (depending on just how that electricity is generated, of course), it was inevitable that aftermarket solutions would eventually surface. Now, the Department of Engineering Technology at the Middle Tennessee State University has popped up with what they claim is an after market plug-in hybrid system that can be added to just about any car and would cost – assuming it gets to market – around £2,000.
