Poor quality diesel blamed for winter breakdowns
Thu, 12 Dec 2013Thousands of drivers are risking a winter breakdown through being sold poor quality diesel fuel, the RAC has warned. All makes and models of car are at risk, says the breakdown recovery provider, with breakdowns proving more prevalent in eastern England and Scotland, and the greatest concentration of breakdowns occurring in the North East. Drivers 'feel safe breaking laws'

As many as 69% of drivers admit putting others at risk by breaking traffic laws, the poll by road safety charity Brake and insurance company Direct Line found. Yet nearly all of those questioned (99%) reckon they are comparatively safe.
