The ULTIMATE Fork Protection The auction is for ONE set Forkshrink 360, comprising of 2 sleeves offering 360 degree Upper fork protection for those expensive & very important USD (Upside Down) motorcycle forks. (Design - SHOWA with RED Logo), for all bikes 125cc & Above, any year with USD forks)Easy to fit with heatgun, approx 10 minutes per set (See picture illustration). They are made from a unique toughened polymer which offers 360 degree bespoke protection for your forks, unlike any other product on sale today. Each sleeve is Glue lined internally to ensure the product stays put & protects the areas most vulnerable to damage when fitted to your forks.

A standard set of forks may have a tube which will be 55mm at the triple clamp yoke, which tapers to 50mm, which then expands to 60mm to cover the fork seals. AutoWeek's Keith Crain receives Mercedes Star Driver award
Mon, 23 Aug 2010AutoWeek editor-in-chief Keith Crain recently received the Star Driver award from Mercedes-Benz, an honor that recognizes an individual who has made great contributions to motorsports and the automobile industry. Crain, shown at left with Geoff Day, director of communications at Mercedes-Benz USA, is the sixth recipient of the Star Driver honor. He joins the ranks of Sir Stirling Moss, John Fitch, Jochen Mass, Jesse Alexander and AutoWeek senior contributing editor Denise McCluggage.

McLaren MP4-12C GT3 (2011) track testing begins
Fri, 11 Mar 2011McLaren has begun testing its latest track weapon, the MP4-12C GT3 ahead of the 2012 FIA GT3 season. How different is the MP4-12C GT3 from the roadgoing edition? The MP4-12C GT3 is based on the standard machine but modified for FIA GT racing by McLaren GT - a joint venture between McLaren Automotive and CRS Racing, a UK-based team currently competing in FIA GT with Ferrari F430s. Externally you'll notice the race-spec fixed rear wing, undertray diffuser, front splitter, louvres and vents. Underneath there's a new suspension system, ditching the road car's linked suspension for FIA-compliant conventional dampers and anti-roll bars. Akebono is supplying race-specific brake components, and Bosch Motorsport has installed its ABS system. The car sits 100mm wider on its new suspension and has suitably flared bodywork as a result. It's still the McLaren's bespoke 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, tuned for racing.
