Ferrari and watchmaker Hublot ink long-term deal

Saturday under cloudy Florentine skies, Ferrari president Luca Cordero di Montezemolo and Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of Hublot S.A., arrived at Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, the practice track for Scuderia Ferrari, to make an announcement bright with promise: For the third time since its founding, Ferrari will enter into a long-term timepiece collaboration, this go-around with Hublot. The freshly inked five-year partnership technically commences in January, but both Montezemolo and Biver were almost giddy of Saturday's announcement and indicated that prototypes were under way. Officially Hublot will be the “watch and timekeeper of Ferrari,” as well as the “timekeeper of Scuderia Ferrari,” the company's racing arm.

Caterham to take on Cayman, Evora

With the increased visibility brought to enthusiast-secret Caterham via their Formula One team, it only makes sense to diversify the company's offerings. Though they've diverged from the Seven-only path a couple of times before -- with the limited-production 21 in the mid-'90s and the more recent SP/300.R, a track-only collaboration with Lola -- this time they're taking aim at higher-volume prey. 2014 Geneva Motor Show preview

The 2014 Geneva Motor Show opens its doors on 4 March and it will be a showcase for all that the world’s car makers have to offer. Some major new cars will make their public debut at the show, including the Audi TT, BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, Ferrari California and Renault Twingo, all of which will be on sale by the end of 2014. There’ll be plenty of concept cars on display, too: some will be outlandish visions of the future, but others – including the Skoda Vision C – will hint at production models that will be on sale soon.
