By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 09 September 2008 17:30 After last week’s leaked photos these are the first official pictures of the new Renault Megane. Along with striking looks, Renault is also offering a raft of clean diesel engines and promising the Megane will feature improved fit and finish, along with better reliability and durability. The new five-door Megane is the first of six new models that will be on sale by 2010 – the line-up includes a three-door variant, an estate, a CC and the Scenic, with production split between France and Spain.

McLaren SLR Stirling Moss – the Video

Sat, 08 Aug 2009

Mercedes McLaren SLR Stirling Moss Featuring the same underpinnings as the McLaren SLR 722, it develops 650bhp and manages 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph. Which should be enough to dislodge the toupee of those who can afford to buy it. McLaren are only producing 75 SLR Stirling Moss, so perhaps it’s no real surprise that we’ve seen so little about the SLR since it launched.

Aston Martin outlines Centenary celebrations

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

Aston Martin celebrates its centenary year in 2013 and has outlined plans to celebrate 100 years of Aston Martin. Officially, Aston Martin was founded in 1913 – although it was not until after the first world war ended that they actually started proper production – and with 2013 marking 100 years of Aston Martin there are celebrations planned throughout the year. On 15th January – exactly 100 years since Aston Martin was incorporated – the oldest surviving Aston Martin – the A3 – will join the latest Aston Martin Vanquish at Henniker Mews in Chelsea, where Aston Martin originally operated, to unveil a plaque to commemorate the anniversary with the Aston Martin Heritage Trust Walter Hayes Memorial Lecture taking place that evening with Sir John Standing telling the story of Lionel Martin’s early experiences.
