Cars in the living room--art or furniture?

It takes a special kind of person to put a $100,000 supercar in the living room instead of the garage, but we say if you have the means, go ahead and do it. A photo collage that appeared on www.home-designing.com last week showed Ferraris, Maseratis and Lamborghinis sitting in houses as showpieces, like the works of art they are. Our enthusiast side says the owners should be out driving these spectacular pieces of machinery, but something tells us that if you have a Gran Turismo in the rumpus room, there's probably another one in your garage, too.

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento concept

Lamborghini revealed the hugely anticipated Sesto Elemento concept at the 2010 Paris motor show. Based on the Gallardo supercar, the Sesto Elemento (six elements in the Italian sports car maker's native tongue) is a technological marvel, created entirely in carbon fiber to bring the vehicle's overall weight down to less than 1000kg. Gray Design imagines a new Saab 9-3

Swedish design firm Gray Design gave us its take on a new Saab 9-3 on Friday. The sleek, spaceship-like car reminds us again of what Saab’s future could have looked like. Gray Design says the Saab 9-3 Mark III is an attempt to take design elements from past Saabs and blend them into modernity.
