Anniversary Edition MX-5 Debuts At New York Show

AS part of the quarter century milestone celebrations focused on its iconic MX-5 roadster, Mazda has revealed a special edition to mark the car’s 25th anniversary. Taking pride of place on the firm’s stand at the New York International Auto Show along with a collection of heritage cars, the special edition model is based on the 2.0-litre 160 horsepower Roadster Coupe with the retractable hardtop. It’s available exclusively in metallic red and boasts a number of exclusive trim and colour additions.

The essence of the firm's highly regarded design language is over 40 years old with the shadow of the 1961 E-type and 1968 XJ6 - and even the 1955 Mk1/1959 Mk2 - looming large. Fortified with snakeskin interior leather accents and 22-inch rollers, the Harley-Davidson edition of the Ford F-150 returns for 2012. A white platinum tri-coat is also added for the new model year. Power comes from the 6.2-liter V8 rated at 411 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque.
