New MINI teased in competition to attend the reveal It may be a few more weeks until the new MIN I is unveiled – 18th November, Sir Alec Issigonis’ birthday – but MINI is already upping the tease with a new competition. The reveal of the new MINI is scheduled to happen simultaneously at events in London, Los Angels and Shanghai and MINI are offering the chance to get an invite to one of the three reveals for three lucky winners. BMW's iconic Art Cars visit New York's Grand Central Station

New Yorkers were treated to a free exhibition of four of BMW's most famous Art Cars, which were part of a display in Grand Central Station last week. Over the years, leading artists have been commissioned to paint whatever they wish on a car and many have accepted, from Alexander Calder to David Hockney. There are 16 cars currently in the collection.

PSA Peugeot-Citroen: Factory closures & 8,000 job losses planned

PSA Peugeot Citroen has revealed it is to close one factory, cut job numbers elsewhere and shed a total of 8,000 jobs as demand for its cars dwindles. When we reported last year that Peugeot Citroen were planning to idle their plant in Trnava, Western Slovakia we said that this was just the tip of the iceberg for Peugeot Citroen, and that they would have to take far more drastic action if they were to survive. They must have been listening.
