Up for purchase are a set of four Mickey Thompson Tires that were removed from a 1970 Corvette. The tires measure G60-15.
The tread depth varies, two have at least 5/32 and the other two has at least 7/32. The tires are tubeless but parts of the bead torn when they were removed from the wheels. Because of their age the tires are being sold as it with no warranty and should only be used for shows. Local pick up only please. B6891 |

GM stokes El Camino gossip . . . again

Mon, 23 May 2011Gooding & Co. is set to auction what it claims is "America's most elegant automobile," a 1931 Duesenberg Model J by Murphy, at the company's 2011 Pebble Beach auction in August. Not to be confused with any run-of-the-mill Duesenberg Model J, this particular car is known as the Whittell Coupe after its owner, California playboy Captain George Whittell Jr.
Brazilian students develop soapbox racers for Volkswagen
Wed, 18 Dec 2013Brazilian design students have competed for year-long internships at Volkswagen's Brazilian design studio by designing – and racing – soapbox cars. Established 15 years ago by Volkswagen South America design director Luiz Veiga, the Volkswagen Design Talent Contest refreshed its format for 2013 by challenging students to develop a prototype for a gravity-powered soapbox racer instead of asking for sketch and render-based proposals. According to Veiga, Volkswagen was looking for someone "capable of working away from the desk and able to create design solutions, assess and build them".
