Honda S2000 sports car gone after ’09 model year

Honda confirmed on Monday that the S2000 sports car is done after the 2009 model year. The two-seater was launched in 1999 as a 2000 model and is a favorite of enthusiasts who enjoy its slick manual transmission and tight chassis. NHTSA probes shattering liftgate glass on Ford SUVs

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating about 200,000 copies of the 2010 and 2011 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner SUVs for liftgate glass that reportedly shatters. There have been 18 complaints of the liftgate window breaking, four resulting in injuries. The models involved were built on or before Oct.

Jaguar & Land Rover eschew Detroit for Delhi

The Jaguar C-X16 will be on show at the Delhi Motor Show in January. Although Jaguar Land Rover has revealed that it won’t be exhibiting at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show in January – instead it will be out in force at the Delhi Motor Show – it’s really not a huge deal. Motor Show exhibiting is an expensive business, and despite JLR’s strong sales, costs are a factor.
