Mercedes To The Rescue This Winter

Although still a rare thing in the UK compared to other European countries, manufacturers and tyre companies are hoping that UK motorists will eventually embrace cold weather tyre technology. When fitted, the tyres can help deliver shorter braking distances in low grip and cold conditions.

Fiat 500 UK Charity boost

One of the Fiat 500s donated by Fiat and decorated by Damian Hirst which were auctioned for the ARK Charity Over the course of a couple of days this week six Fiat 500s have been donated by Fiat for charity auctions and raised almost £500,000 in to the process. Which, cute and interesting as the Fiat 500 is, does sound rather a lot. After all, even the new Fiat 500C retails (in pop spec) at just over £11k.

The stunning Jaguar C-X75 Concept Supercar was revealed in 2010 both to celebrate Jaguar’s 75th anniversary and to look at the futures possibilities for a resurgant Jaguar. Powered by four electric motors and a pair of micro-gas turbines, Jaguar said it had 780bhp at its disposal, could get to 62mph in 3.4 seconds, top out at over 200mph and run for 68 miles (in theory) on its batteries.
