Fragola's one-piece Series 2000 Pro-Flow hose ends eliminate brazed joints for better flow and incorporate two Viton® O-rings for leak-free service for the life of the fittings. These Pro-Flow hose ends feature a "single nipple" system whereby the socket draws the hose over the nipple and seals it by crushing the hose between the socket and the nipple. Since there is no cut hose to remove, the Series 2000 hose ends are easy to reinstall on a new piece of hose. Fragola Series 2000 Pro-Flow hose ends are crafted from aerospace-quality aluminum that's machined to mil-spec tolerances. They're then "bright dipped" instead of anodized to maintain the original finish and continue to look great over time. Using the Polo BlueMotion’s 1.4-litre TDi engine, longer gear ratios and Dunlop tyres that generate less friction, the Ibiza Ecomotive will deliver 74.3mpg and emit just 99g/km CO2, meaning it is tax exempt and, should Ken Livingstone’s recent proposals be approved, get into London’s Congestion Charge zone for free. Performance figures are yet to be announced, but expect 77bhp, 144lb ft torque, a 0-60mph time of around 12.8sec and a top speed of 109mph – figures in line with the Polo.

GM awards small-car production to Michigan plant
Fri, 26 Jun 2009General Motors will make its new subcompact car in Orion Township, Mich., the automaker said Friday, dashing hopes in Spring Hill, Tenn., and Janesville, Wis., that the small car would keep one of their factories alive. Stamping for the new car will take place in Pontiac, Mich., GM said in a statement. The small car, which GM said it plans to start producing in 2011, will save about 1,200 jobs in Orion and 200 in Pontiac.
