But Skoda clearly reckoned the old Skoda wagon was worth replacing because the new one makes its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Spetember. That's based on Porsche's own computer simulations in anticipation of the production version of the gasoline-electric-powered 918 Spyder, which is due to roll off a dedicated line within a decommissioned paint shop at Porsche's Zuffenhausen, Germany, headquarters next year. The claimed 0-to-62-mph time is 2.8 seconds; 0-to-124 mph is 8.9 seconds, and top speed should be about 202 mph, thanks in part to series of active aerodynamic functions, including a multistage rear wing.

2010 Audi Q7 to bow at Shanghai motor show

The redone Audi Q7 will bow at the Shanghai motor show this month, with slight interior and exterior freshenings. It launches this fall as a 2010 model. The Q7 gets a new lighting design, LED running lights and chrome touches on the bumpers, door panels and handles, as well as new wheel designs.
