Ferrari posts record sales despite economic uncertainty

The Italian automaker has released sales figures for the first six months of 2012, and they’re impressive by any measure. Revenues for the first half of the year are up nearly 12 percent, and net profits have risen 10 percent to over $130 million.

Ian Robertson, board member for sales and marketing at the BMW Group, said the MCV would be the brand's first full series production electric car at launch in 2013.'It will be badged as a BMW sub brand - with a propeller badge and a separate name,' he said. 'We are in the final stages of deciding what that name will be and there are some exciting options.

With a pair of mini gas turbines charging a bank of plug-in Li-Ion batteries which in turn power a quartet of electric motors, the C-X75 produces a massive 780bhp, offers a 0-60mph of just over 3 seconds and a top speed of over 200mph.
