I wouldn't say it was a sad hunk of Detroit iron, but the 1963 Pontiac Star Chief definitely looked lonely when I discovered it in a Michigander's backyard while delivering pizzas. It wasn't covered, and there was no For Sale sign, but I could tell it needed a home. The paint on the side of the car was in good condition, as far as I could tell.

And while the five-door 2 hardly looks staid, and actually rather dynamic, the Japanese company is claiming the three-door will be even more sporty. Tesla: Model S sales to begin in second quarter of 2012

Tesla Motors plans to begin delivering the Model S electric sedan in the second quarter of 2012 and expects to produce about 20,000 units annually, the company said at the Detroit auto show on Monday. Tesla has booked more than 3,000 reservations for the Model S in North America and Europe. The car's expected base price is $49,000.
