Either way, while Cadillac catches flak for its controversial ELR ad, the above Ford ad with a C-Max Energi is either a shameless ripoff or a smashing riposte. We got the reveal of the new Citroen C4 Aircross – Citroen’s version of the Peugeot 4008 and Mitsubishi ASX – back in September 2011, and now Citroen are giving the Aircross its first public outing at the Geneva Motor Show ahead of a launch in Europe in the Autumn. The decent-looking C4 Aircross makes a good fist of marking itself out as a Citroen, and seems to offer a credible option in the compact SUV stakes.

The results, announced today, were another surprise in the 44-year history of CoTY, as the Insignia pipped the Ford Fiesta and pushed the VW Golf into third place.
