Aston Martin sales UP in 2013 – new platform being developed
Tue, 29 Apr 2014Aston Martin sales and revenue up in 2013 Aston Martin has revealed its results for 2013 – its centenary year – which show the coolest car brand on the planet managed to increase sales by 11 per cent – to around 4,200 cars – and revenue to £519 million, an increase of 13 per cent over 2012. Aston Martin’s earnings before EBITDA (that’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) were up a strong 22 per cent to £84.8 million, demonstrating strong operating profitability, although actual earnings were marginal. But Aston Martin are bullish about the performance, and equally bullish about the future.
Koenigsegg teases Agera One:1 hypercar with 1,340hp
Mon, 10 Feb 2014Koenigsegg has released the first official image of its new Agera One:1 hypercar, set to make its world debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show next month. Based on the Swedish firm’s Agera R model, the One:1 concept produces a whopping 1,340hp and weighs 1,340kg, meaning the car has a power-to-weight ratio of 1,000hp per tonne. That’s a lot.
2014 Mitsubishi Mirage pricing starts at $13,720
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Mitsubishi has just announced pricing for its 2014 Mirage, not to be confused with the Cadillac Elmiraj. Mitsubishi's version -- being a bit smaller and bit cheaper -- loses a few letters and opts for conventional spelling. As you can see, this Mirage is a little different from the last time we saw back in the '90s (when it was a compact sedan) -- different to the point of being a completely different car in a completely different segment.
