Just like the UK government, the US government seems obsessed with promoting electric and hybrid cars as the way of the future, something anyone who really knows cars will tell you is a nonsensical approach. Hybrid and electric cars are too costly to produce and have little appeal for the car buying public.
Mini One Clubman to launch at Geneva

The Mini One Clubman comes with the same 1.4 litre engine as the Mini One, producing 95bhp and boasting the same suspension set-up as the Mini Coopers, which at least means the new Clubman One should be fun to throw around. Toyota to debut fuel-cell, fun concepts in Tokyo

One is powered by a fuel cell, one is a hybrid and the others are crazy people-movers that may or may not catch the public's eye. The highlight of the display is the Toyota FCV concept, or fuel cell vehicle.
