£2,500 price cut for Subaru BRZ

Subaru has cut the retail price of its sporty BRZ coupe by nearly 10% to £23,995 on-the-road for the SE Lux model. The reduction from the previous £26,495 list price (effective from 1 May 2014) marks a £2,500 saving for customers. The price drop is in part related to the introduction of the firm’s performance flagship model, the WRX STI, which hits UK shores in May 2014.

Volvo are working on a plug in Hybrid for 2012 offerng 50g/km Co2 emissions Laudable though this intent is, it’s a little like the Vauxhall / Opel Ampera – it relies on technology that doesn’t yet exist to deliver what it promises. But to get things moving, Volvo are going to be running a number of Volvo V70 diesel-electric Hybrids round Europe this year, to guage customer feedback and try to establish exactly what the consumer wants. They also want to establish exactly what the consumer can live with in terms of ‘Re-fuelling’.

According to research by insurance experts Confused.com, 7% of motorists have taken a ‘selfie’ when driving. And, 9% of 18-24 year olds have used photo messaging app Snapchat, compared to 8% who have tweeted and 5% who’ve accessed Instagram.
