This is what you need to lift that Old FSJ and improve the ride at the same time! A front shackle reversal moves the shackle (spring pivot point) to the rear of the front spring where it should be. Allowing the spring to absorb the road impacts instead of transferring them to the vehicle. Chevy, Ford and Dodge set their front springs up this way and now you can also. These brackets are 100% bolt-in (no welding required) and the kit lifts the front 2 inches. Yes, after installing the kit and moving the shackle to the rear spring mount all the front alignment and caster are maintained! Maybe this is what you need to improve that rough ride and fit larger tires too--much better than a lift kit only! BMW's Vision EfficientDynamics concept bound for Frankfurt
Sat, 29 Aug 2009BMW has revealed a radical vision for its future performance-oriented models in a spectacularly styled concept car whose combination of M3-rivaling acceleration and Mini Cooper-beating fuel economy will likely make it one of the stars of this year's Frankfurt motor show. Called Vision EfficientDynamics, the one-off coupe is a mobile showcase for lightweight construction and plug-in hybrid drive technology, while featuring a variety of futuristic styling, packaging, aerodynamic, lighting and interior ideas under development at the German carmaker's heavily cloaked FIZ development center in Munich. Many of the concepts are planned for use on upcoming BMW road cars, including an exciting Z10 EfficientDynamics range-topping model due by 2015.
Honda recalls Accords, Pilots for suspension fix
Thu, 23 Dec 2010Honda is recalling about 10,800 Accords and Pilots in the United States for a potential front-suspension failure. The recall covers the 2010 and 2011 model years. A problem with the machinery used to tighten the spindle nuts on the front axles of both vehicles, as well as the damper attachment bolts for the Pilot, could cause the suspension to fail.
