Jaguar XKR-S: UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
Sat, 12 Mar 2011The Jaguar XKR-S will make its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011 Jaguar has revealed that its fastest car in a generation – and its fastest series production car ever – the Jaguar XKR-S is to make its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July. Which has surprised us a bit – we rather expected it to start turning up before that. Lotus named lead marque for Goodwood
Wed, 14 Mar 2012Lotus will take a place of pride as lead marque at June's Goodwood Festival of Speed, backed by an expected record attendance of more than 40 historic racing Lotus models. “Lotus is an incredibly important British car marque, and we plan to have maybe the greatest concentration of a single marque that we've ever had at the festival,” said Lord March, whose Goodwood historic house provides the backdrop for the four-day event beginning on June 28. Emerson Fittipaldi will be reunited with his championship-winning Lotus 72 and an early Lotus 7 race car, a type that many drivers--including British Le Mans legend Derek Bell--cut their teeth on in their formative years.
Jaguar reveals 'brand-new' Lightweight E-Type
Tue, 12 Aug 2014This is a brand-new Lightweight Jaguar E-Type, exactly as it would have been if it had left the Browns Lane factory gates in Coventry way back in 1963. It’s not a restoration, either, but a totally fresh, zero miles car that will make its world debut later this week at the Pebble Beach Councours d’Elegance 2014. Back in May, Jaguar announced that it would finally build the remaining six "missing" Lightweight E-Types (originally developed for racing) that it never got round to in the 60s – now they’re here.
