Johnson Controls has developed a new instrument cluster concept that displays its information through a 3D interface. The Multilayer Instrument Cluster concept, initially intended for use in full- and mid-size luxury cars, is designed to improve the safety of the driver and the overall efficiency of the vehicle. JAPANESE car maker Lexus has released a new version of its RX premium SUV. The firm claims that its RX 450h Advance model is even more generously equipped than before, with the added luxury of a Mark Levinson premium 7.1 surround sound system as standard. Despite the inclusion of the Lexus-bespoke audio package (that has a £1,000 list price) and a set of new-design 19-inch alloy, wheels, the price tag for the new Advance variant is unchanged, matching its predecessor at £48,495.

THE ASTON MARTIN used by Roger Moore in the 1970s television series The Persuaders is up for sale and expected to fetch £500,000. Finished in rare Bahama Yellow, the 1970 DBS was built specifically for use in the popular detective series. However, Aston Martin had yet to launch its DBS V8 model, so it took a standard DBS with the smaller six-cylinder engine and made it look identical to the newer and more powerful V8 from the outside.
