Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic gets 281bhp. Debuts at Geneva
Tue, 18 Feb 2014Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic (pictured) gets 281bhp We’ve been expecting Land Rover to deliver a proper performance version of the Range Rover Evoque, even more so with the arrival of the impressively performing Porsche Macan. But if this new Evoque – the Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic – is the ultimate performance version of the Evoque it’s not going to stand up on-road to the new Macan, even if it does look a lot better. Still, extra power and more goodies is never a bad thing, so an Evoque with 281bhp and more equipment is not to be sniffed at, even if it’s likely to cost £50k or more.
SEMA 2008 show report: Volkswagen Passat CC
Fri, 07 Nov 2008By Ben Whitworth Motor Shows 07 November 2008 09:00 Volkswagen’s sobriety took a back seat at the SEMA show in Las Vegas this week – it pulled the covers off a pair of muscle-bound Passat CCs, a racy 295bhp Tiguan and a grunty diesel Jetta aimed at cajoling the American market into turning its back on gasoline. The unambiguously named Performance CC – designed by Volkswagen’s California-based design centre – gets a shot in the arm from a three-stage turbo boost to its 2.0-litre TSI engine. In Eco mode you get a modest 222bhp and 236 lb ft of torque, GT mode hikes those outputs to 252bhp and 268 lbs ft, while the Full Power stage unleashes 311bhp and 313 lb ft.

The Atlas Concept previews the designs and technologies of future Ford pickup trucks – particularly the F150 – and features a chiseled grille (complete with automatic shutters) and a wide stance designed to emphasize the ‘Built Ford Tough' image. A drop-down front wind spoiler lowers at highway speeds to improve underbody airflow.
