Nissan Juke-R takes on Supercars in Dubai The Juke with the heart of a GT-R – the Nissan Juke-R – takes on a Ferrari 458, Lamborghini Gallardo and Mercedes SLS AMG in Dubai. We’re not entirely sure how the Nissan Juke-R – the love child of a Juke and a GT-R – ended up in Dubai pitted in a race against a selection of the world’s best supercars – but it did. Session 5: Color and Trim On the second day of the conference, Andreas Wlasak, Vice President of Industrial Design at Faurecia, opened proceedings by announcing that the company plans to open a design studio in Shanghai this year. "A design centre in Shanghai – a new place in China for 2010 – this is a commitment," he declared. Wlasak then asked what OEMs should look for in terms of visualizing the concept of ‘green' design inside the vehicle interior: "OEMs might look for 'visual' green – how can you make it visible that the vehicle is efficient and reducing CO2?" He believed real wood is one likely way of achieving this, as people want to feel natural surfaces, and he also envisaged translucent surfaces playing a key role in years to come.

With the new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe due in the UK in June, BMW has been busy taking new photos. It was last Christmas when BMW told us that the new Gran Coupe would be priced from £61,380 in the UK (for the entry-level 640i Gran Coupe). For some reason best known to BMW’s bean counters that seems to have gone up by a tenner since December, and the 640d has gone up by a fiver.
